Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager for our Polymers & Chemistry Practice in our Philadelphia, PA office. In this role, you will work as part of multidisciplinary team of experts to support, lead, and execute complex polymer science and engineering projects, in order to solve multidisciplinary problems and advise clients on product development, manufacturing, failure analysis, performance and end-use. You will lead projects, identify new clients, build on relationships with existing clients, and develop new business in related areas.

You will be responsible for

 

  • Using expertise in polymer science and engineering to solve diverse and often complex materials problems affecting a range of clients
  • Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities
  • Attracting, developing, and enhancing new projects and clients
  • Developing and mentoring staff in both technical and business areas
  • Providing project management and project budget oversight
  • Leading projects and managing teams to execute product development projects at an industrial setting, related to materials selection, hands-on failure analyses, polymer processing, scale-up, materials characterization, polymer synthesis

You will have the following skills and qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering or related discipline
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience post-graduation in the plastics and polymers industry
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects and teams in the plastics and polymers industry
  • Strong background and hands-on experience in polymer/chemical characterization techniques, such as FTIR, GC-MS, LC-MS, GPC, NMR, DSC, TGA, and DMA
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders toward shared objectives
  • Outstanding reputation among clients and the scientific community for integrity, responsiveness, and technical expertise
  • Adept management abilities and demonstrated project management experience
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong commitment to professional development
